Xiuli Zhang, Distinguished Professor, College of Pharmaceutical Science, Suzhou University. Since graduating with a PhD degree in 2007, she has been conducting research on the qualitative and quantitative evaluation of efficacy and toxicity of natural products. A systematic separation method based on orthogonal two-dimensional preparative chromatography has been established to solve the problem of tracking and preparing target compounds from complex sample sources. At present, hyphenated separation methods, including reverse phase-reverse phase, reverse phase-hydrophilic, and reverse phase-mixed modes have been established to solve the problems of sample acquisition repeatability and quantitative accuracy. In terms of pharmacological and toxic effects, she took the lead in Asia to carry out research on the target of natural products based on phenotypic screening of unlabeled cells. A set of liver organ chips have been developed for toxicity evaluation of natural product.
A total of 101 SCI articles were published with an H-index of 30, and she also participated in writing three book chapters. She is a winner of "The First 100 Most Influential and Excellent International Academic Papers in China" and "Liaoning Natural Science Academic Achievements Academic Papers". She has nearly 30 Chinese invention patents, 11 of which have been authorized in China, and 1 has been authorized in the United States. She directed more than ten projects including “the international cooperation project of the Ministry of Science and Technology”, “the major new drug development project”, and the Natural Science Foundation project.
